Doctrine of Universal
Emergent Information
Information is both the metaphorical and literal essence of all existence — a sacred field of full potential continuously crafting itself. Inspired by Giordano Bruno, Kurt Gödel, Claude Shannon, Erik Verlinde, and insights from Judeo-Christian and Eastern philosophies.
Information as the Essence of Reality
At the core of this doctrine is the concept of sacred information — the fundamental building block of all entities and processes. This information field is both the source and manifestation of everything that exists, continuously crafting itself in an endless cycle of creation. Sacred information represents a field of full potential, an ever-evolving information field that manifests in myriad forms yet imposes constraints within space-time to create structure and order.
Emergence from Simplicity to Complexity
All complex systems arise from simpler interactions within the universe's informational fabric. Cellular automata — Conway's Game of Life — provide a useful analogy: simple rules produce surprisingly complex patterns, illustrating how complexity emerges from simplicity. In the same way, consciousness arises from the intricate network of neural interactions in the brain — an emergent phenomenon resulting from the basic interactions of neurons.
Continuous Creation
According to Gödel, no formal system can fully describe itself or capture every truth within it. This suggests that all systems are interconnected, with boundaries that are fluid rather than rigid. As new truths emerge that cannot be explained within existing frameworks, systems must adapt and expand. The universe's informational field evolves by transcending limitations — ensuring it remains a living, dynamic process rather than a fixed entity.
Blurring Boundaries
The inherent limitations of formal systems lead to a blurring of boundaries between different systems. In Eastern philosophies, this aligns with non-duality and the illusion of separateness. In the realm of sacred information, distinctions between entities are fluid and interconnected. While the information field is limitless in potential, the constraints of space-time create structured manifestations of reality.
The Human Brain as Microcosm
The human brain serves as a microcosm of the emergent complexity found in the universe. Its layered structure reflects different levels of consciousness: the reptilian brainstem governs primal instinct; the limbic system manages emotional reaction; the neocortex handles analytical reasoning; and the prefrontal cortex enables spiritual creation — where humans can consciously shape reality through directed attention.
Humans as Co-Creators
Humans are instruments through which the universe expresses its will and creativity. Our complex brains allow us to act as channels for the universe's ongoing creation, integrating instincts, emotions, reason, and spiritual insight. By embracing our role as co-creators, we participate in shaping reality. With sufficient awareness, we can transcend reactive patterns and consciously shape creation through the higher faculties of the prefrontal cortex.
“Reality is a vast, unified network of sacred information — a field of full potential where all distinctions are secondary to the underlying oneness that connects everything.”
By recognising and embracing our role within this oneness, we contribute to the continuous unfolding and evolution of the cosmos.
